National Gallery of Art selects Oracle’s cloud-based financial management platform

Implementing Oracle Cloud Federal Financials “brings the best-in-class cloud [Enterprise Resource Planning] that is used by most of the Fortune 500 companies to the U.S. government for the first time,” said gallery Treasurer William McClure.
Oracle announced on Tuesday that the Washington, D.C.-based National Gallery of Art has selected the firm’s Oracle Cloud Federal Financials platform to enhance its financial operations.
The technology company said the financial management solution will enable the art museum to “accelerate financial processes, increase efficiency, improve resource allocation, and enhance decision-making, while addressing federal data security requirements as it continues to deliver world-class programs and exhibitions for its growing audience.”
The National Gallery of Art, established in 1937 by a joint congressional resolution, is one of the largest art museums in the U.S. It is free to the public and hosts millions of visitors annually.
