Microsoft Developing New Recovery Tool in Response to CrowdStrike Disaster

Millions of Windows machines were taken down by the flaw, causing such upset that Microsoft has moved with uncharacteristic speed to make sure something like this cannot happen again. The company says there will soon be tools to make similar fixes easier, and it plans to change how apps like CrowdStrike operate on Windows.
At the Microsoft Ignite event, the company revealed the new Quick Machine Recovery feature. Quick Machine Recovery was developed as a response to the CrowdStrike incident. The idea is that IT workers will be able to remotely repair systems even if a bug has compromised the operating system itself.
