Chris poses a timely question in Are we entering a new AI winter? And if so, why might the public mood be cooling? (I'll explain why it's timely in a moment). I would frame a different question: what could happen to our muddled macro-economy if "big AI" markets falter?

If this isn't an AI winter, could it be a 'big AI' market bubble? I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that things go better when the foundations driving growth are sound, and not wildly speculative.
