Why I Cancelled a €360/Year SaaS Subscription with Claude Code

Here is my short report of cutting off Cal.com in one evening, with four pull requests, and the booking engine we already owned taking over our own demo funnel.

Yesterday evening I merged the pull request that deletes a line from my own P&L.

For a view weeks, the „Book a 15 Min demo" button on our landing page, the front door to our sales funnel, ran on Cal.com. We used their EU instance, Teams plan, two seats, roughly €30 a month. Not expensive, as software goes. But every month, €30 left the company for a job our own product had quietly learned to do better.

This week I changed that with our Google OAuth pipeline. Cal.com was gone from the codebase, dependency, embed, privacy-policy mention, subprocessor entry, and our own engine was taking the bookings. Spec to deployed: about two hours. People call that vibe coding. It wasn't. It...
