What I’d say to me back then – Jentic’s Dorothy Creaven on the power of warm intros, interview prep, and having some fun

Dorothy Creaven seemed destined for a career in technology. She always excelled at maths and physics, and loved learning how things worked. She credits her father as the inspiration behind this technical mindset. Creaven explains:

My father was very much a proponent of learning everything you can about maths and physics. So at an early age, I had a natural ability, but I was encouraged by my parents as well. I always liked to understand how things worked, much to the detriment of various things that were taken apart at home, and maybe put back together again.

As well as being lucky enough to have the encouragement of her parents from a very young age, Creaven had some incredible teachers in primary school, which was a game changer for her. She notes:

I had one teacher in particular, who was very accomplished at maths and encouraged everybody in the class,...
