Wear OS 7 Brings Live Updates to Your Wrist

Google's Wear OS 7 is bringing Live Updates to smartwatches, letting users keep track of deliveries, sports scores, and more in real time. The system delivers up-to-date notifications directly to the user's wrist, eliminating the need to repeatedly open individual apps.

Live Updates in Wear OS 7 allow compatible apps to send real-time status changes right to the Pixel Watch. For deliveries, users can see when an order has been confirmed, shipped, and delivered. Sports fans can view live scores for their favorite teams, and Google Maps users can view turn-by-turn directions.

This feature works alongside Android's Live Updates, making the watch an extension of the phone for tracking time‑sensitive events.
