USB-C chargers are everywhere these days, and many can supply a wide range of voltages. The problem is that you can't just connect one to a breadboard circuit and get 12 V, 20 V, or 36 V. Those higher voltages are locked behind the USB Power Delivery protocol and require a proper negotiation first. Anas Malas built the Negotiator II to handle all of that, then squeezed the whole thing into a business card just 2 mm thick so you can always have one handy.

The Negotiator II supports USB PD 3.1.
