‘The Shards’: When to Watch New Episodes of Ryan Murphy’s Stylish ’80s Drama
The Shards, FX’s new thriller from prolific show creator Ryan Murphy, is inspired by the 2023 novel of the same name by Bret Easton Ellis. The first season is well underway; if all goes according to plan, there will be two more seasons in the works.
The Shards follows Bret, a high-school senior striving to achieve his dream of becoming a published author. As he types away on his debut novel, Less Than Zero (the book that made Ellis famous at 21), Bret and his elite friend group navigate the politics of young adulthood at the dawn of the 1980s.
