The finishing touch I needed to complete my budget gaming PC was a new monitor. I wanted it at least 27 inches, curved, with 1440p support, a high refresh rate, and low response time. I wanted all that for around £100. A tough ask, I thought, until I saw the MSI MAG 275CQF for £119. It's now even cheaper for Prime Day, and I can't recommend it enough if you want a quality budget gaming monitor.

Some of you may scoff at this pick, that perhaps I should have gone for a 4Kdisplay instead, or picked something larger if it's my main monitor. Truth is, for the relatively little PC gaming I still do these days, it suits me just fine. And it's an ideal size for work, too, giving me that extra bit of screen real estate I need...
