Why SAP Business Data Cloud, and why now? Burning questions edition with Irfan Khan

Prior to SAP's Unleashed event last month, I braced myself for a barrage of agentic AI announcements. Every vendor is doing them, and I think we know why. Yes, SAP did issue some agentic news at Unleashed, but the big/ambitious news was the announcement of the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).

Whether the Business Data Cloud ends up being the ultimate, gee-whiz data solution for SAP customers remains to seen - to say this is a competitive space right now is a vast understatement.

But at least this announcement goes for the guts of customers' unresolved data predicaments, spells out the problems, and provides a serious attempt at some answers.
