Thermaltake Shows Off 2000W Power Supply
extremetech.comLong before CES 2025 heralded the next generation of CPUs and GPUs, power supply makers have been working on PSUs to support them. Asus, for its part, launched 1200W (and even 1600W) PSUs last year that prioritize your power-hungry graphics card. Thermaltake has also been developing new power supplies for high-end gaming builds and has power supplies as high as 1550W available. As it turns out, Thermaltake also has a 2000W power supply on tap, but it isn’t planning to send the beast to the U.S. It’s just too powerful.
The issue with Thermaltake’s new 2000W PSU, as told to PC Gamer by Thermaltake, is that the Toughpower D2000 simply pulls more power than some American home outlets can handle.
