Specsavers sets its sights on identity and access management with SailPoint

Specsavers is using SailPoint’s Identity Security Cloud to address identity and access management concerns for disparate business stakeholders.

Adam Manning, digital identity and automation specialist at Specsavers, explained to diginomica at SailPoint Navigate in London how the optometry and audiology specialist uses the platform to manage joiners, movers, and leavers. His team has used the technology to automate manual tasks and to create a platform for further innovation.

Manning says identity access management was messy before the company implemented SailPoint technology in 2017. IT staff had to provision identity access manually, and the company wanted a better process. After taking consultancy advice, the company selected SailPoint as its partner. The first stage involved using the firm’s technology to cleanse its Active Directory data to identify corporate users and manage provisioning:
