Nvidia Boosts RTX 40 Series GPUs With Frame Gen Upgrade

Now that Nvidia’s RTX 50 series GPUs are official, the graphics giant is applying some of its new tech to its older-generation GPUs. Much of the RTX 50’s capabilities come from its hardware, of course, but the new DLSS 4.0 upgrades all RTX models to a certain extent. Nvidia’s Jacob Freeman points out on X that the Frame Gen feature in DLSS 4.0 is updated for both the RTX 50 and the RTX 40 series. That’s good news for gamers who plan to stick it out with their RTX 40 series cards.
