Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders: Everything you need to know about prices, delays and more

Folks in the UK may be able to pre-order a Nintendo Switch 2 now, but Americans are still waiting for their time to shine. Switch 2 pre-orders in the US remain indefinitely delayed, despite Nintendo originally announcing an April 9 pre-order date. In response to new tariffs announced by President Donald Trump, Nintendo delayed Switch 2 pre-orders in the U.S.

According a statement Nintendo provided to Engadget: "Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions. Nintendo will update timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged."
