MSI Says Intel Arrow Lake CPUs Use Less Power, Run Lower Temps Than Raptor Lake


Intel has announced its next-generation Core Ultra 200 series CPUs, aka Arrow Lake, and they go on sale Oct. 24. The big selling point with these CPUs is Intel has taken drastic measures to reduce power consumption—and now leaked slides from MSI back up these claims. They're the first numbers we've seen for Arrow Lake that don't come from Intel.

The newly leaked slides from MSI (which have already been deleted) were provided to the media on a recent tour of one of its motherboard factories. MSI apparently threw caution to the wind with this press junket, as it also shared details on Ryzen 9000X3D performance that has now been deleted. The slides show the flagship Arrow Lake Core Ultra 285K CPU consumes less power and runs a lot cooler than the 14900K, which is what Intel said would happen in its presentation. However, MSI's ...
