Facebook is ditching fact-checkers and replacing them with community notes. Meta will no longer have independent fact checkers -- instead users will be able to add corrections or annotations to potentially misleading posts.

Along with several other changes to Facebook's moderation policies, the end of fact-checking has sent plenty of folks heading for the exit. However, many of them have years of photos or other personal information they don't want to leave behind.
