Intel Officially Unveils Arc B570 and B580 GPUs, Appears to Target Nvidia RTX 4060


After months of rumors and leaks, Intel made it official today: The next generation of its gaming GPUs is here. The chipmaker announced the Intel Arc B580 and B570 graphics chips (codenamed Battlemage) for $249 and $219, respectively.

“The new Intel Arc B-Series GPUs are the perfect upgrades for gamers,” Vivian Lien, Intel vice president and general manager of Client Graphics, said in a statement. “They deliver leading performance-per-dollar and great 1440p gaming experiences with XeSS 2, second-generation ray tracing engines, and XMX AI engines.”

Based on their specs and pricing, Intel seems to be positioning the cards—particularly the B580—as an alternative to the Nvidia RTX 4060.

Whether the new GPUs have the performance to seriously challenge AMD and Nvidia is a question that awaits more benchmarking. For its part, Intel is already comparing the B580 to the RTX 4060, saying that it’s up to 10 percent ...
