Google Pixels See 400% Rise in the Indian Market—OnePlus Drops by 71%


Recent data from Canalys (via Android Central) has revealed some mind-boggling insights from India's premium smartphone market for the first three quarters of 2024, with Google and OnePlus seeing contrasting differences.

Google Pixel has seen remarkable growth, with its market share in the premium segment increasing from 1% in 2023 to 5% in 2024. This is a 400% increase in market share year-over-year. The increase is due to the success of the Pixel 8 series, which is partly made in India, and the strong sales of the Pixel 9 series in the third quarter of 2024. I guess people are finally realizing how amazing stock Android feels, at least to me. Or maybe it is the cameras.

On the other hand, OnePlus faced a steep decline during the same time period. Its market share dropped from 21% in 2023 to just 6% in 2024, which means a 71% decrease ...
