Armis Strengthens On-Prem OT Security With $120M Otorio Buy

Armis purchased an OT protection vendor led by the Israel Defense Force's first chief cyber defense commander to extend its security capabilities into on premises environments.

The San Francisco-based cyber exposure management vendor said its buy of Tel Aviv, Israel-based Otorio will help Armis better serve government agencies, defense contractors, utilities and critical infrastructure providers that are prohibited from using cloud-based models. These organizations operate in air-gapped environments, meaning their networks are physically separated from the internet.
