Apple Updates MacBook Pro With M4 Chips, Higher Base RAM


Apple announced its custom M4 Arm processor earlier this year, just months after releasing the M3. But Apple didn't put the new chip in all its devices right away—it started with the iPad, and only now is the M4 coming to the Mac lineup. After upgrading the iMac and Mac Mini this week, Apple has finally gotten to the announcement that everyone's been waiting for. There are new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros today, featuring an array of Apple M4 chips.

As with the new Mac Mini and iMac, Apple proclaims the new MacBooks are built for Apple Intelligence. The first elements of this generative AI suite began rolling out this week, giving users the ability to reformat text, summarize messages, search smarter in Photos, and more.
