Switch emulation now goes both ways: PC games on Switch and Switch games on PC

Nintendon't: Nintendo tried to put an end to Switch emulation on PC by suing the developers of Yuzu. Instead, Switch emulation is thriving, with new projects pushing the boundaries of what these tools can achieve in terms of performance.

Suyu, one of Yuzu's offspring conceived to keep Switch emulation alive and well on PC, recently achieved a major technical milestone. Unfortunately, the developers have also decided to stop working on the project for the foreseeable future. But new forks have already begun refreshing Suyu's code, allowing Nintendo's cat-and-mouse game with Switch emulation to continue indefinitely.

The "final" public release of Suyu (0.04) introduced a new "recompiler mode" that can statically translate Arm64 (AArch64) native code designed to run on the Switch so it can run natively on a PC. Game code is recompiled...
