Scanwheel Recreates the Spirit of Mechanical Television in a Tiny Spinny Package
It took us, collectively, a while to really figure out television and display technology in general, with early concepts being very weird. Mechanical TVs existed, for example — and they worked, even though the idea is bizarre by modern standards. Fast-forwarding to today, James Brown (AKA “Ancient”) is my favorite kind of person, because he embraced the bizarre and built this very unique modern interpretation of the mechanical television.
