Sarla Aviation Taps Siemens Xcelerator To Accelerate Electric Air Taxi Development

Siemens Digital Industries Software has announced that Bengaluru-based Sarla Aviation is using the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to accelerate the development of its electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft for urban air mobility.

The announcement was made at Realize LIVE Asia Pacific 2026 in Bengaluru.

Sarla Aviation is developing electric air taxis aimed at making urban transportation faster and more sustainable. The company plans to begin operations in Bengaluru in 2028 and is building an advanced air mobility platform designed to offer aerial commuting as a premium transportation service.

Sarla Aviation has adopted Siemens software to connect product design, simulation, electrical engineering and lifecycle management within a unified digital environment.
