IT Voice- How is Genesys positioning itself in India’s expanding geospatial and infrastructure development market?

Sameer Sankhe : India is undergoing a historic urbanisation shift, with its urban population expected to grow significantly by 2050. Based on data from the United Nations, the urban population is projected to increase from about 547 million in 2025 to 847 million by 2050, suggesting an addition of around 300 million people to urban areas over this period. Such massive urbanization will overwhelm existing infrastructure systems while creating unprecedented challenges in housing, transportation, waste management, and environmental sustainability that traditional planning tools cannot address. Smart city initiatives will need more accurate data, predictive digital twins, to ensure inclusive development.
