Airtel down Calls, data and broadband services are not working for thousands of users
itvoice.inAirtel, one of India’s leading telecom service providers, experienced a significant nationwide outage disrupting mobile, data, and broadband services for thousands of users. The disruption began around 9:56 AM, with user reports peaking at approximately 10:41 AM, according to Downdetector, a platform that monitors real-time service outages.
The outage affected both mobile data and broadband services, leaving many users unable to make calls, access data, or use the internet.
The impact was widespread, with major cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Surat, and Bengaluru reporting significant disruptions. Users in Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai also reported issues, though to a lesser extent.
Downdetector’s data indicated that 46% of the affected users experienced a total blackout, 32% reported signal issues, and 22% faced mobile connectivity problems.
