More than half of Indian SMEs complete their monthly GSTR-1 preparation during the final three days before the filing deadline, according to a study by Busy Infotech, highlighting a persistent trend of last-minute GST compliance.
The company analyzed Unique GSTIN count associated with GSTR-1 activity between April 2024 and June 2026, tracking filing behaviour from the 1st to the 13th of each month across multiple filing cycles.
Compliance Risks Increase With Last-Minute Filing
