Navana.ai Raises ₹40 Crore as Voice AI Moves Into Regulated Enterprises

Voice AI startup Navana.ai has raised INR 40 crore in a Series A round led by entrepreneur and investor Ronnie Screwvala. Antler India, Sharad Sanghi, Sandeep Singhal, and Paula Mariwala also participated in the round.

The company said the funding will go toward expanding deployments among BFSI enterprises, developing speech models for Indian languages and dialects, and building out its AI Contact Centre and automated evaluation platform.

The Enterprise Problem Is Bigger Than Voice

For a financial services company, deploying voice AI is not simply a matter of replacing a human agent with an automated voice.

The system has to understand what a customer is saying and respond in a way that works within the enterprise's operating processes. That becomes harder when conversations move across languages or involve code-switching, accents, background noise, and overlapping speech.
