Mysuru IT City Plan Takes Shape as Karnataka Govt. Identifies Land
The Karnataka government has begun identifying land parcels for a proposed IT City in Mysuru and is seeking industry participation to shape the project, signalling the next phase of its Beyond Bengaluru strategy to expand the State's technology ecosystem beyond the capital.
Speaking during the sixth edition of the Mysuru Big Tech Show, Dr. Manjula N., Secretary, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, said the government was moving beyond policy announcements to implementation and wanted industry to help define Mysuru's long-term technology roadmap.
"We are looking to industry for ideas and collaboration to build IT City in Mysuru," she said, adding that the government was identifying land, strengthening digital infrastructure and expanding partnerships with academia and global technology ecosystems.
