Microsoft revives the Surface Mouse with haptic feedback, six-month battery life, and $80 price

First look: At Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit event in Maui, Hawaii, Microsoft unveiled multiple new Surface devices, including a 12-inch Surface Pro convertible and a 13-inch Surface Laptop. The company also debuted a redesigned Surface Mouse almost 10 years after the original model launched alongside the Surface Studio in November 2016.

The second-generation Surface Mouse includes several new features, including haptic feedback, which uses an internal vibration motor to deliver subtle pulses and tactile responses to confirm clicks. It can also provide feedback for on-screen interactions such as snapping windows to the edge of the screen or aligning objects and layouts in PowerPoint, Affinity, Concepts, Filmora, and other supported applications.

The new Surface Mouse also gets a customizable Action Button that summons Copilot by default but can also be configured...
