LinkedIn Highlights Rise Of AI-Led Entrepreneurship In India
India’s startup ecosystem is entering a different phase. For years, entrepreneurship in the country was largely associated with venture-backed founders, technology startups, and high-growth digital businesses. But a broader shift is now emerging underneath that ecosystem.
More professionals, especially younger workers, are beginning to treat entrepreneurship less as a one-time career leap and more as an ongoing part of working life itself.
That transition is becoming visible in new LinkedIn data, which shows a 104% year-on-year increase in members adding “Founder” to their profiles in India, the highest growth among the markets studied by the platform.
The trend reflects a larger change taking shape across the workforce. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools reduce operational barriers and digital platforms make audience-building easier, entrepreneurship is gradually becoming more decentralised, experimental, and flexible.
The traditional idea of a single long-term career path is also starting to weaken, particularly among younger professionals.
