LILYGO Packs LoRa, GPS, and Solar Into a $58 Credit Card-Sized Device
Tiny microcontroller development boards are nothing new. Neither are LoRa radios, GPS modules, or solar charging. But every once in a while, someone manages to cram an unusual combination of hardware into a package small enough that it makes you start thinking about projects you didn't know you wanted to build. The new LILYGO T-Echo Card is one of those devices.
Measuring just 90 × 60 × 9.5 mm, the weatherproof IP66 enclosure hides a large collection of hardware centered around Nordic Semiconductor's nRF52840 microcontroller. Its Arm Cortex-M4F processor runs at 64 MHz and is paired with 1 MB of flash memory, 256 KB of RAM, and an additional 32 Mbit SPI flash chip for storage.

But the T-Echo Card is really all about wireless communication. It comes equipped with support for Bluetooth 5, NFC, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, Zigbee, ANT, and other 2.4 GHz wireless protocols...
