Leaked Xbox Cloud Gaming Controller Surfaces in Regulatory Filing

Leaked regulatory images have revealed a compact Microsoft controller designed for Xbox Cloud Gaming. The photos are said to come from Brazil, where the controller appears in black and white variants with clear Xbox branding. The design is smaller and more rectangular than the standard Xbox Wireless Controller and features shorter grips, but it's got a familiar Xbox layout with sticks, D‑pad, ABXY buttons, and triggers.

According to documentation reviewed by the Brazilian publication Tecnoblog, the controller will have dual‑band Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB‑C connectivity. This could let it work directly with Xbox Cloud Gaming over Wi‑Fi, and may even reduce latency compared to routing inputs through a phone, PC, or TV first. The documentation also says the controller uses a built‑in 500mAh rechargeable battery instead of AA cells—a clear break from Microsoft's usual battery approach.
