Early Verdict

Part of me wonders why they didn’t just add voice and vision to an existing NASync model, but adding PoE ports and a modular accelerator lets this hardware go beyond that. How useful this is to you depends on how far down the AI rabbit hole you’ve already gone and how rapidly this platform evolves.

Reasons to buy

  • +Made for AI
  • +Four PoE LAN ports
  • +Inbuilt microphone
  • +Can run Qwen 3.5 out of the box

Reasons to avoid

  • -Only RAID 0 and 1
  • -No upgrade paths
  • -PoE is only 10/100
  • -Local AI is underwhelming so far
