I was excited to watch Evil Dead Burn but it’s easily the weakest in the franchise and left me with more questions than answers

Evil Dead Burn is an over-the-top, blood-soaked nightmare of a movie. Unfortunately, it doesn't add much else beyond shock value, so fans wanting a bit more meat on the bone will be left disappointed.

Pros

  • +Lots of gore, very good practical effects
  • +I'll be surprised if you don't wince a few times
  • +The cast is clearly having a blast

Cons

  • -Does very little to add to the lore, there's a weak plot here
  • -Some plot holes, I was confused at points
  • -It's a bit much, even for an Evil Dead movie
  • -Feels too far removed from Sam Raimi's original story
  • -Cheap predictable jump scares, we meet again
