I tested Innocn's E49M1R — the first flat 49-in Mini LED ultrawide monitor

This is a fantastic monitor; however, it's hardly perfect. Ideally, the built-in USB hub should have a KVM, and the stand should have more motion. But it’s hard to be critical, since no other brand has a straight Mini LED display this wide. Just accept that a monitor like this is decidedly situational.

  • +First flat 49-inch Mini LED ultrawide monitor on the market
  • +1760 local dimming zones and HDR1000 certification
  • +5120 x 1440 resolution at up to 165Hz
  • +Decent coverage across sRGB, DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB
  • +Dual HDMI 2.1 and dual DisplayPort 1.4, plus a USB hub
  • +Good for CAD, spreadsheets, video timelines

Cons

  • -Color depth is only 8bit
  • -No pivot, and only a modest 15-degree swivel
  • -Awkward to handle
