I spent months testing SteelSeries' newest gaming headset to see if it can top one of its closest siblings — and while it does so with ease, that doesn't mean it's better value
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni is an excellent gaming headset, and one that offers noticeable and tangible upgrades on its Pro Wireless brethren without going to the extremes of its premium sibling, the Nova Elite. Each addition is welcome, noticeable, and worthwhile, even though they may not be huge in isolation; it’s still greater than the sum of its parts. However, the Nova Pro Wireless may still be better value while it’s part of the lineup.
Pros
- +Fabulous SteelSeries gaming audio
- +Hi-Res certification
- +All the connectivity options you could want
- +A host of gaming-focused features and options
- +Enhancements over the Nova Pro Wireless are numerous and tangible
- +Great design and build quality
Cons
- -Slightly awkward position in the line as a halfway house between Nova Pro and Elite
- -Value is questionable while its predecessor still exists
