I played Lord Of The Rings: War In The North Legacy Edition, but its Middle-Earth skin can't elevate this average PS3-era action RPG to great heights
There's a lot to like about Lord of the Rings: War In The North Legacy Edition, especially if you played the original version. With 60fps framerate support for newer consoles and quality-of-life improvements like autosaves, slicing your way through orcs, barrow-wights, ettens, and encountering Tolkien characters not seen in the films remains a thrill. However, it is hobbled by a weak story, repetitive gameplay, the limits of the old PS3-era technology, and numerous bugs.

- -Technical bugs rendering some brief sections borderline unplayable
