Hyderabad Scores 6.5/10 on Startup Readiness; Capital Access Lags
Hyderabad’s startup ecosystem has developed strong foundations in infrastructure, technology talent and cost competitiveness, but access to growth capital and larger markets could determine whether more companies from the city can scale globally.
The Hyderabad Startup Readiness Index 2026, released by venture capital firm Endiya Partners, gave the city an overall ecosystem confidence score of 6.5 out of 10. The index is based on responses from 216 founders, investors, corporate leaders and other ecosystem stakeholders.
The findings indicate that Hyderabad is moving from a startup-creation phase to a more complex scale-up phase, where companies require larger pools of capital, enterprise customers and access to national and international markets.
Infrastructure and Talent Remain Key Strengths
Infrastructure and connectivity emerged as Hyderabad’s biggest competitive advantage, cited by 43% of respondents.
