How Wipro is mobilizing its new model army for AI

These days everybody is hiring or training Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs). For example, a few weeks ago AWS told diginomica all about its approach in this area. Twenty years ago, the model for using FDEs was devised by Palantir, whose defense clients consultant/engineers needed to be deployed in the field to ensure systems were working in air-gapped environments.

As it happens getting agentic AI to work effectively in enterprise production deployments requires a similar approach in the sense that you cannot sell the tech, deploy and leave, without bemused customers wondering how to actually use this ever-evolving tooling for real, and so we are now in the midst of an FDE boom.
