UK animal charity the RSPCA credits digital experience platform (DXP) technology as a major factor in its successful 200th-anniversary rebrand and website migration in 2024 - a project that turned a 2,000-page estate into a platform now supporting nearly 26 million sessions a year connecting the public with animal welfare services.

The gains matter because the wider sector has been in retreat. While national charity donations have fallen post-COVID, the RSPCA says that since its rebrand donation conversion rates have grown by 2 per cent year-on-year, and 8,000 new national volunteers have joined through the platform.

For Head of Digital Experience & Engagement Jake Brown, that migration - covering the core website, the education site, the online presence for vets and the internal staff intranet - is central to the charity's fightback against declining public support.
