The recent enthusiasm for Large Language Models (LLMs) has been driven by cool demos that excite possibilities but struggle with the vagaries of production. Dell is betting that realizing enterprise value will require building, improving, and iterating on the contextual layer for linking disparate data together in a more coherent way.

The next phase, planned for the first half of 2027, will include adding a unified semantic layer, an enterprise knowledge graph and knowledge agents informed by automated and more coherent and durable knowledge artifacts. The core idea is that a better semantic layer and graph will support a more coherent context layer for humans, agents, and enterprise systems.
