HCLTech Invests Rs 185 Crore in Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru
HCLTech has launched an Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru with an investment of Rs 185 crore, expanding its semiconductor engineering and testing capabilities as India seeks to strengthen its position in the global semiconductor ecosystem.
The 40,000 sq ft facility, which includes 25,000 sq ft of class 10K and class 1K cleanrooms, will provide end-to-end post-silicon engineering, advanced testing and failure analysis capabilities.
The lab is equipped with testing and analysis systems from companies including Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix and Thermo Fisher Scientific. HCLTech said the facility will support research and development, pre-production and production qualification, helping customers reduce testing turnaround times and simplify semiconductor qualification processes.
The facility follows HCLTech’s Spec2Parts business model, bringing electrical validation, automated testing, qualification and failure analysis onto a single platform. The company said this is aimed at helping customers move more efficiently from design specifications to finished semiconductor parts.
