Google’s Ask Maps Lets You Get More Done Conversationally, Thanks to AI

Google is making its Ask Maps feature significantly more useful with a series of new features that will allow you to get things done via conversation. Announced on Thursday, Ask Maps is now capable of taking on agentic, multistep tasks that would normally require manual research and extra time on your part.

Ask Maps was introduced earlier this year with some modest features that let you ask more conversationally for locations without being so rigid in your search. It’s now getting a suite of new capabilities powered by Gemini. For example, you could use Ask Maps to find a well-lit tennis court for playing in the evening, but the new enhancements make it even smarter.
