ZTE, in partnership with Southeast University (SEU), has officially launched Jiangsu Province’s first "AI-empowered 10 Gbps All-Optical Campus Demonstration Network" at SEU's Sipailou Campus. Leveraging the core 50G-PON technology, the project establishes a new digital foundation for smart education across all teaching, research, and administration scenarios at this 120-year-old top-tier university in China, delivering robust digital momentum to drive its long-term development.
The demonstration network fully covers core campus areas including expert buildings, teaching buildings, and dormitories. It adopts 50G-PON technology to achieve three-generation, five-mode convergence and 50G extended channel upgrades. It deeply integrates FTTR-B, Wi-Fi 7, and AI-powered intelligent scheduling to deliver a "simplified, green, and agile" architecture. Test data shows that both uplink and downlink rates exceed 10 Gbps, with end-to-end latency as low as 0.1 milliseconds. Empowered...
