Firefox Users on Windows Can Play GeForce Now Games In-Browser

On Tuesday, Mozilla released Firefox 154 with official Nvidia GeForce Now support for Windows users. Thanks to this update, users can stream PC games through Firefox at play.geforcenow.com without having to install the dedicated GeForce Now app.

In-browser GeForce Now runs games on remote Nvidia servers, streams video to the browser, and sends player inputs back to the cloud. This setup can let computers with not-so-powerful hardware play supported games.

Firefox joins Chrome, Edge, and Opera in offering in-browser GeForce Now access in Firefox 153.0.1 and later, and on 64-bit Windows 10 or newer.

Mozilla says GeForce Now Ultimate members can stream through Firefox at up to 1440p resolution and 120 frames per second. Nvidia lists 35Mbps of internet bandwidth for that QHD 120fps mode, along with a 120Hz display and a connection with less than 80 milliseconds of latency to its data centers.
