Figma Unveils AI-Powered 'Intelligent Canvas' for Full-Stack Product Creation at Config 2026
Figma has unveiled a major overhaul of its design platform, introducing an AI-powered "intelligent canvas" that brings together design, code, AI agents and collaborative workflows in a single workspace as the company bets on AI-driven product development.
The announcements were made at Config 2026, Figma's annual developer and design conference held in San Francisco, where more than 10,000 product builders attended in person, with additional participants joining virtually. Figma also announced that it will host the first-ever Config India in Bengaluru on October 15, 2026, following the opening of its Bengaluru office in November 2025.
The company said the updated platform is designed to support "full-stack creation" by enabling product teams to move seamlessly from ideation and design to coding and deployment without switching between multiple tools.
