Your AI Coding Assistant Just Got a Body
We've seen a number of desktop monitors that track AI coding agent token use recently. In general, they are all quite similar. There is a display that continuously shows how much of one's quota has been used, and perhaps a few buttons to tweak the settings. Now, developer Krzysztof Jamroz has completely reinvented the concept by giving his coding agent a physical body. And it doesn't just track usage, it also lets you know what the agent is doing.
Called Tiny Engineer, the open source desktop robot turns digital events into physical movements. Instead of keeping watch over an IDE to see whether an AI assistant is reading files, thinking through a problem, or generating code, users can simply look over at the robot sitting on their desk. It nods, gestures, types away on an imaginary keyboard, and rings a tiny bell when the task is complete.
