It seems like a much simpler problem to solve than autonomous navigation and decision-making, yet it’s still a problem. Fragile connectors and precise alignment requirements mean that standard physical plug-in docks often fail.
A new wireless-charging development kit called NOA CORE100 was designed to make powering up robots, drones, and other autonomous systems easier. Rather than relying on exposed contacts, pogo pins, or custom charging hardware, the system transfers power through inductive and resonant coupling. The development kit delivers up to 100 W with efficiency reaching as high as 92%, while tolerating approximately 20 mm of vertical separation or horizontal offset between the transmitter and receiver....
