CTO Yuri Misnik accelerates ‘super app’ ambitions of inDrive

Uber should be looking in its rear view mirror. A challenger is racing towards it in the global ride hailing industry, and like a faster and younger number two driver in a Grand Prix, inDrive doesn’t plan to be the world’s second most downloaded ride hailing app for long. The US-headquartered ride hailing business plans to overtake Uber and become a ‘super app’ akin to those that dominate consumer markets in China. CTO for inDrive Yuri Misnik picked up our request from Abu Dhabi to explain the direction of travel.

Misnik joined inDrive a year ago as the business expands beyond its heritage in ride hailing. That journey is an interesting one.
