Recent Accenture research suggests that the next 12 months will be critical in UK organisations’ adoption of frontier AI capabilities. While individuals are rapidly adopting the technology, organizational uptake is uneven, and the economic goal of growth for the UK economy remains largely unrealised.
Nevertheless, there is progress since Accenture’s last study in 2024: three times the number of employees is now daily using AI, and over half the workforce expects to reskill. There are less concerns about AI presenting us with an existential threat and more practical concerns around issues of security and data privacy. However, in order to capitalise on this progress UK organisations need to move beyond trial deployments of the technology.
